Have you ever had God really speak to your soul?
Make it very clear that this is what you need to do.
I can list a handful of times where I know it was Him.
When my Father died and I called my friend, Linda Cole, to come to Savannah to think about being my wife.
When my daughter delivered her baby at 16 years old and it was time to leave town.
A job offer prior to my marriage.
A couple I sensed were compatible and were ready for God’s intervention.
So how did it happen? Well it just happened and I did it because it felt right!!!
Is a close intimate walk and relationship with God possible??
Conversational minute by minute communion with my Father in Heaven??
Just like Jesus had with the Father??
Eldredge says……..
“You need to do more than believe in me. You have to stay close to me. Listen to my voice. Let me lead. Now there’s a thought: if you don’t hold the same assumptions Jesus does, you haven’t got a chance of finding the life he has for you.”
Eldredge, John (2010-09-19). Walking with God: Talk to Him. Hear from Him. Really. (p. 14). Thomas Nelson. Kindle Edition.
And this is what I have been wanting to do for over 37 years, stay close enough to my Father……..
Sooooooooo that I hear Him clearly……not just do good works expecting good results and a good life.
That’s not the promise!!!!
“I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.” . . . “Whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:1–4, 9–10)

Is this the full life that He promises?
Have you found this “fullness of life”?
